Everlasting Word Outreach Ministries – Emerging Organization:

The mission of New Life Spiritual Enlightenment (NLSE) is to help redirect and reconnect adults, youth and families back into their community than have fallen victim to drugs, alcohol, disease (AIDS/ARC, Cancer, ect.), the criminal justice system, unemployment, homelessness, illiteracy, the welfare system, dysfunctional social upbringing and lack of spiritual awareness. NLSE serves as an informational and support hub for this target population. 

Church on the Rock: Boys to Men Initiative – Emerging Organization:

http://www.RockNewHaven.org The Boys to Men Initiative of Church on the Rock is a program designed to assist families in the process of developing of boys into emotionally competent, fully responsible men who are assets to their families, communities, and the younger generations who follow behind them. The vision driving the mission includes men making themselves available in the cause of helping boys to become healthy, motivated, responsible, informed and capable men of noble character.

 New Haven 828 Youth Initiative – Emerging Organization:

http://newhaven828.typepad.com New Haven 828 is committed to fostering a collaborative effort among Greater New Haven area clergy and churches. We covenant to build up our communities economically, educationally, socially, spiritually, and to strengthen the participation of Christian organizations that are God-focused and united for divine purpose. Together with Christ and His local community, we will endeavor to “work together for good.” We are called according to His purpose. 

City Wide Youth Coalition, Inc.

http://www.cwyc.org The mission of City Wide Youth Coalition, Inc. (CWYC) is to unite the strengths of member organizations in order to enhance the lives of children, youth and families in greater New Haven. 

Universal Arts Movement – Emerging Organization:

Universal Arts Movement (UAM) is a non-profit, educational and charitable organization dedicated to developing non-violent self expression, cultural exchange, and community empowerment. Through art education to young people, UAM bridges the gap between communities of all ethnicities, cultures, and origins, and illuminates the everyday social power of creativity. 

Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) – Community Development Org.:

http://www.interfaithrefugee.org Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) mission is to help refugees and other displaced people establish new lives, regain hope, and contribute to the vitality of Connecticut’s communities. Our vision is that all refugees have access to the education, employment, and services that will enable them to establish new lives in Connecticut. 

West Haven Community House Association, Inc. – Community Development Org.:

http://www.whcommunityhouse.org Established in 1941, the West Haven Community House exists to “facilitate healthy, meaningful, independent and productive lives for children, youth and families, and adults with developmental disabilities.” We are a cornerstone social service agency in West Haven, with a solid record of achievement and responsiveness to the changing needs of our community. In addition to direct service provision, we play an active role in coordinating municipal and social services in West Haven through our participation in the West Haven Family Resource Center, West Haven School Readiness Council, and West Haven Interagency Network for Children.
